Winter Armour.

Fashion is fun. No one can deny that. It's enjoyable to play around with looks, try things on, go crazy. So much is written about the costume element of clothing, the dress the part - part, that it is easy to forget (especially if you work in a shopping centre, and write a fashion blog) that clothes have another purpose altogether. That being the essential nature of their existence. Casting modesty aside altogether, clothing, especially in a climate as un-moderate as our own, is there to protect us from the elements (say, like a major snowfall of about 5 inches). In this instance fashion literally is a life and death situation. Temperatures plummet, and the clothes we wear are there to block the wind, and cease the shivers. However, there is no reason why you can't look good (if, maybe a touch blue) while armoring yourself from winter's winds.

Leather is warm. Quilts are warm. Quilted leather must be doubly so!

Winter can make anyone feel long in the tooth. Battle that feeling by enveloping yourself in right kind, houndstooth!
